The "Good News" Letter
Sunday, 12-21-08
Dear Readers,
What a wonderful time of year to begin a letter. There's excitement in the air and great smelling kitchens preparing all the favorites of this time of year. It's a real blessing when you get older to look back and remember the many family members and friends that gathered at your house or another for a party or a feast.
There was cause for celebration in another part of the world about 2,000 years ago. The birth of Jesus occurred. His birth, life and death had been prophesided long before it occurred in details that astound many even today. (Acts 3:24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.)
During this time of year take some time to review your knowledge of Jesus, his appearing and how he lived and died then rose again, forever to sit at the right side of God's throne to intercede for his children. God wants us to talk with him and walk with him during our day and to relax with him at evening time, when we relect on the day we have been given. We need to thank him as we reflect upon our day the many times that God had helped us when we were so busy that we were unaware of his presence working on our behalf. Take time to say "Thank you" to the God who loves you and is always there for you. Be there for him too. Take time to be alone with your God.
God's love for us is unending, he will be there for us to guide us, advise and to extend his hand to us when we are open to him. God wants a relationship with us that is open to new experiences, exciting and inspirational new ways to serve him and to build his kingdom and to enjoy the time spent together as a refreshing time and a renewing time for us. (John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.)
As our Christmas time speeds by and the New Year begins, take inventory of your life and life style and as you make your New Year's Resolutions, don't leave out your resolutions for your walk with the Lord, and for taking time to meet with him. (1 Thessalonians 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.)
If you have ANY prayer requests for yourself, family , friends or others, please post them or email them to me at: denainc@windstream.net and your prayer requests will be laid at God's throne and the prayer that is prayed will be sent back to you.
